Mr. Mohammed holds a BA in Economics from Aleppo University.

FOUNDING ROLE

Mr. Mortada is the Founder and the Managing Director of Al Ramz. Mr. Mortada has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector including asset management, brokerage, transaction services, real estate and banking. Mr. Mortada has passionately and successfully steered the exponential growth of ‘Al Ramz’ since inception to become one of the leading financial services houses in the UAE.

Haisam holds a Master's degree in Banking & Finance from Sorbonne University, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Toledo, USA and is a Certified Public Accountant, USA.

PREVIOUS ROLES

• Most recently served as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Al Ramz.
• Prior to joining Al Ramz, Haisam served as the deputy CFO of Al Hilal Bank where he oversaw regulatory, statutory and management reporting as well as asset and liability management.
• Haisam also served as the Head of Financial Services Department at KPMG Lower Gulf where he oversaw attestation and advisory services.
• Haisam served on the board of directors of several concerns across banking, insurance and asset management sectors.

PROFILE

Karim has a total work experience of more than 25 years in the Middle East investment banking industry. Karim has worked with several other large and prominent reginal and international investment banks in the region such as EFG Hermes, SHUAA Capital and Credit Suisse. Throughout his career, Karim has been involved in significant IPOs and M&A transactions.

EDUCATION

Karim holds a Master’s degree in Banking & Finance from Sorbonne University, a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College, USA and is a Certified Wealth Advisor (CWMA) from Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ).

PREVIOUS ROLES

Karim formerly served as the CEO of Al Ramz Capital, a subsidiary of the Group. Prior to joining Al Ramz, Karim worked with Credit Suisse within International Wealth Management. Karim also work with SHUAA Capital where he held several senior positions including CEO Investment Banking & General Manager of SHUAA Securities Brokerage; Head of Corporate Finance; Head of Capital Markets. Prior to that Karim worked at EFG-Hermes with Investment Banking.

Yazan has over two decades of experience in asset management, primarily within the MENA region. His expertise in establishing and managing successful asset management operations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia is complemented by his ability to analyze and value businesses across the Middle East and Africa. He has held leadership roles in various markets, navigating diverse regulatory frameworks both regionally and internationally.

EDUCATION

Yazan holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science from the American University in Beirut and an MBA from London Business School, acquired with the support of a scholarship from the H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.

PREVIOUS ROLES

In his career, Yazan founded Abu Dhabi Investment Management (ADIM) in 2018, leading it as CEO and Portfolio Manager to prominence in MENA-Equities. His roles have included significant positions within ADIM, ADIC’s asset management companies, and as Head of Capital Markets Investment at a sovereign family office. At SEDCO Capital in Saudi Arabia, he managed MENA Equities, Global Sukuk, and MENA Money Markets. His experience extends to ING Investment Management, where he focused on MENA and Frontier Markets.

Yazan has been recognized for his contributions and awarded prestigious titles, including Saudi Asset Manager of the Year, Top-Performing MENA Fund, and Best MENA Fund Launch. He has also been listed multiple times on the MENAFM Power 50 Fund Managers.

Sally is a senior international and strategic HR executive. She is a leader with extended experience in the financial services industry and has worked on large scale transformation human resources projects.

EDUCATION

Sally holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and has attended several HR executive programmes in HK, UK, and UAE.

PREVIOUS ROLES

Before joining Al Ramz, Sally worked in different senior roles, with HSBC Bank for 17 years in Dubai and London. Sally has an extensive experience in the Middle East working with and influencing country and regional executive management teams, entity/country boards, remuneration committees and regulators.

With over 25 years of banking experience in one of the UAE’s top tier banks mainly in brokerage and wealth management, he has a successful track record in building exceptional client relationships, risk management, business strategy planning and development.

EDUCATION

Moatasem holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Foreign Trade in Budapest, Hungary.

PREVIOUS ROLES

Prior to his current role, Moatasem was the Senior Vice President - Head of Sales at FAB Securities focused on HNWI and institutional clients. He also executed cross divisional collaborations within FAB divisions to cross-sell all other bank products and services.

Anas holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Business Administration from Amman Arab university, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Al Zaytooneh Private University in Amman, Jordan, and is a USA certified Public Accountant.

PREVIOUS ROLES

Prior to joining Al Ramz, Anas diversified his experience in finance through his work in asset liability management, regulatory reporting and finance operation at Al Hilal Bank. Anas has also served as a key member in KPMG Lower Gulf financial services audit team prior to joining KPMG Lower Gulf transaction and restructuring department.

Rizwan has over 25 years of truly diverse experience in the UK and UAE, having worked at a sovereign wealth fund, private equity firm, ‘Big 4’ professional services firms and a UK FTSE 100 company.

EDUCATION

Rizwan holds a Master’s degree in Satellite Communications from University College London, a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from King’s College London and is a Chartered Accountant, ICAEW.

PREVIOUS ROLES

Prior to joining Al Ramz, Rizwan was responsible for managing the monitoring and reporting of adherence of ADIA’s global portfolio of investments with both internal limits and external regulatory limits., as well as the submission of relevant regulatory filings and disclosures.

Amer is a trilingual market finance executive with more than 25 years of experience in listed equities in Europe and the Middle East, across the buy-side and sell-side value chains.

EDUCATION

Amer holds a Master's degree in Finance from ESCP Europe, a Bachelor's of Commerce McGill University and extensive executive education.
 

PREVIOUS ROLES

Before joining Al Ramz as Head of Research, Amer held numerous roles in global and regional financial firms including Goldman Sachs, Shuaa Capital or Bank Audi, with a particular focus on setting up and managing research and sales platforms.

EDUCATION

Haitham holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Cairo University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), USA.

PREVIOUS ROLES

Prior to joining Al Ramz, Haitham has served as Audit Principal for Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA). He has led assurance and advisory engagements of multiple financial services entities and Sovereign Wealth Funds. Haitham also served as the Head of Investment Industry Sector at ADAA with proven track record of providing advisory and assurance services to several Financial Institutions. Prior to ADAA,Haitham was an Experienced Auditor at KPMG Egypt.
